Mr. Bagrat Badalyan, Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures visited the construction sites of the M6 Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border Interstate Road. It should be noted that the section Tumanyan-Bagratashen supervision crossing point of the interstate highway (51.74 km) was divided into three sections. 3 contractors work there at the same time.

The Deputy Minister met with the contractors and got acquainted with the process of the works.

Excavations, earthworks‚ transportation of infrastructures, construction of walls were mainly carried out in the given section. The representatives of the design organization were also present and some design issues were discussed.

They talked about the improvement of traffic conditions at the M6-Odzun junction‚ the most effective ways of organizing traffic in that sector were discussed.

The Deputy Minister noted that the process of road rehabilitation was in the focus of attention of the RA Government and the results should be evident within a short time. If design changes are needed, they should be implemented very quickly.

There was also a stop in Alaverdi. Mr. Badalyan instructed the contractor to carry out necessary works to minimize construction dust. Mr. Badalyan noted that the two bridges in Alaverdi would also be restored.
