Makaravank monastery complex located in Tavush region can now be reached by a well-maintained road. The capital repair works of the 3 km section (km 7+800-km 10+800) of the H-26, approaching Makaravank monument have been completed.

The road was renovated by "Chanaparh" LLC. Project was financed from the state budget.

The road, which has never been completely asphalted, was partially repaired years ago, but this amount of work was done for the first time.

Located near Achajur community, this sanctuary of the 10th-13th centuries is a sacred place for locals, believers and tourists and the reconstruction of the road will increase the number of visitors.
