It is planned to start the restoration of 12 roads with a total length of about 67.8 km in 2020 within the framework of the Armenia Lifeline Road Network Improvement Project (second Additional Financing). Prior to construction commencement, the employees of the "Road Department" SNCO‚ the designer are holding public consultations in the beneficiary communities.

The residents are informed in detail about the works to be carried out, the grievance redress mechanisms, traffic safety issues‚ etc.

Public Consultations took place in Noramarg (Ararat region), Sevan (Gegharkunik region), Mets Parni, Katnajur, Yeghegnut, Debed (Lori region), Shirak, Kamo (Shirak region) communities.

During the meetings with the villagers, Mrs. Shushan Kurkchiyan, Environmental and Social Specialist of the Road Department, introduced the participants to the Armenia Lifeline Road Network Improvement Project and the principles of selecting roads to be rehabilitated.

During the meeting the representatives of the Road Department, the designer answered the questions of the residents, which were mainly related to the terms of construction works, the installation of safety elements on the road, the further operation of the rehabilitated roads, etc.
