With the support of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the "Road Department" Fund has received a grant under the "Mini Grant Project" for the 2024 fiscal year. The grant is allocated to the project titled "Enhancing the Effectiveness of Oversight in Road Marking Thickness Gauge Procurement Operations" which involves the acquisition of two road marking thickness gauges.

The acquisition of the equipment will enable periodic monitoring and oversight of road marking works in compliance with the normative technical documents in effect in Armenia. This will cover the reconstruction of intergovernmental, national, and local roads, as well as ongoing summer and winter maintenance activities. The project will play a vital role in ensuring the proper execution of the functions assigned to the "Road Department" Fund.

In turn, the new road marking thickness gauges will improve the efficiency of summer and winter road maintenance while enhancing oversight of road marking operations, ultimately contributing to safer traffic conditions across the country.
