Choratan community of Tavush region has an improved road. The villagers tell that their community which has more than 250 years of history never has had such a road. The road is being rehabilitated within the framework of the “Lifeline Roads Network Improvement Project: Additional Financing” Project supported by the World Bank. The order of the work is the "Transport Program Implementation Organization" SNCO.

A 4.2 km section of about 5.6 km road has been asphalted already.

The representatives of the World Bank and the "Transport Project Implementation Organization" SNCO visited Choratan to get acquainted with the road construction work. Here they were greeted with a festive event at the school yard.

Mr. Varuzhan Baghmanyan, the head of the community said that this was a great and long-awaited gift for them.
