Reconstruction of about 5 km long Kamo-Shirak highway passing through Shirak region is completed. Renovated lifeline road connects Kamo and Shirak settlements with M-7 / M-3/-Spitak-Gyumri interstate road. The residents mentioned that they had not seen road construction equipment in those parts for about 30-40 years.

The road was repaired within the framework of the Lifeline Roads Network Improvement Project, Second Additional Financing (LRNIP AF2), financed by the World Bank and the Government of the Republic of Armenia. The Project is implemented by the “Road Department” Fund.
