Reconstruction of M-6 Continues

Reconstruction of M-6‚ Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgian border interstate road continues these days. The Contractor- "Horizon-95" is constructing retaining walls about 80 m long and 6 m high in the section from the Odzun intersection of the interstate highway to the "Sanahin" station. Paving works are underway as soon as the weather permits. The design of improving traffic conditions at the Odzun intersection is almost ready.

Reconstruction is also going on in different parts of "Sanahin" station-Haghpat road. Mr. Davit Azatyan, a representative of “AAB Project” LLC, says that the subgrade is being installed at the moment.

The weather conditions are favorable for construction works and the representative of the contractor notes, they have permission from the technical supervisor to implement embankments.

The issue of rock excavation at a distance of about 1 km from the Haghpat intersection is being discussed. Several options are being discussed to provide a solution.

A new water pipeline is being constructed on the M-6 interstate highway at the Haghpat-Bagratashen border checkpoint.
