On October 28, 2018 on km26,620 of Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia (M-6) interstate road the subgrade, including the pavement, the adjacent bridge was damaged as a result of the accident on the main water line. The retaining wall near the road was destroyed.

Due to the accident, the interstate road was closed for a while.

Upon eliminating the issues with regard to water line by relevant organizations, the employees of the contractor carrying out road construction made a temporary backfill after which it was possible to restore the highway traffic.
