The reconstruction of the 2,116 km section of Ditak-Jrashen highway is completed.

On November 9, 2018 Mr. Vazgen Petrosyan, Interim General Director of the "Transport Project Implementation Organization" SNCO and Mr. Arthur Sanoyan, Road Infrastructure Lead Engineer of the SNCO met with Mr. Irakli Karseladze, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Chairman of the Roads Department of Georgia in Tbilisi.
Construction Issues Related to Tranche- 1 and Tranche- 2 were Discussed with the Director of the "Corsan-Corviam"
On November 6, 2018 Mr. Vazgen Petrosyan, Interim General Director of the "Transport Project Implementation Organization" SNCO met with Mr. Jose Alberto Carrasco, Director of the Spanish "Corsan-Corviam" company, Contractor of Tranche 1 and Tranche 2 of the North-South Road Corridor.
Rehabilitation works of the 2nd Section (51.74km) of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border Interstate Road Started Have Commenced
A new round of the Vanadzor-Alaverdi-Georgia border Interstate Road (M6) rehabilitation has begun. The first phase of the construction launched in September 2016, in the Vanadzor-Alaverdi 38.45 km section, has been completed and will be put into operation soon. This year the reconstruction of the 2nd section (51.74 km) of the highway has started. The renovation has started from the both sides of the road.
Tree Planting was Implemented Near Talin Within the Fremework of the North-South Road Corridor Investment Program
More than 580 trees were planted, 150 of them were decorative, others were fruit-trees. It should be noted that during the construction of the North South Highway 10 trees should be planted instead of each cut tree.
The Interstate Road has been Damaged Due to the Waterline Accident
Upon eliminating the issues with regard to water line by relevant organizations, the employees of the contractor carrying out road construction made a temporary backfill after which it was possible to restore the highway traffic.

Mr. Hong Wei has noticed that the North-South Road Corridor is a very important project for Armenia. The number one issue of this program is the quality and joint efforts should be continued to have good results.
